About VOX / 137

An independent browser instrument inspired by the PO-137’s documented workflow. It is not affiliated with Teenage Engineering or Adult Swim.

All sixteen voice characters, the drum engine and effects are original Web Audio recreations, not the hardware’s proprietary DSP. Starter sounds are original synthesized material, not Rick and Morty recordings.

Audio backup uses VOX’s own format. Hardware backup signals and Microtonic patch transmissions cannot be decoded. Import WAV/audio into vocal slots or the drum bank instead. Audio clock sync is available, but a browser cannot promise hardware-level timing or calibrated voltage.

Recordings stay in your browser. Clock alarms require this page to remain open and audio to be enabled. Background tabs can suspend audio or delay timers.
